It all began when Heidi decided to brave a province far, far away...

Not long after, Ivan began a 4000 km adventure of his own.

SCENE 1: THE PASTOR'S HOUSE

PASTOR KUMAR:
Hey Ivan, this is Heidi. She's from Toronto too!

Ivan turns to face Heidi.

IVAN:
Nice to meet you, Heidi.

Heidi gives a little wave.

HEIDI:
I'm actually from Oshawa.

IVAN:
Cool...

(And that was it.)

SCENE 2: LATER THAT EVENING

They met up for coffee.

Coffee turned into dinner.

Dinner turned into dessert.

Dessert turned into more coffee.

Wow, I didn't realize you two were engaged!?

Yes, it was a complicated ring resizing situation which we felt was easier left unsaid.

So...did you elope?

Sorry to disappoint but no, our parents were completely in on this. We just wanted something unique, simple, and small.

Does this mean I missed out?

Not at all! We're thrilled at the opportunity to celebrate with you soon.

I must know, is there a baby in the near future?

No. We have no immediate plans for children.
